This adapter works fine for macbooks and other Apple laptops introduced before January 2009, but for the models introduced after that, it simply doesn't work. This is explicit in the Apple Store listing for the item but does not seem to have been listed here on Amazon. I purchased the adapter and now have to return it. It worked fine with my old Powerbook G4, but I want to view on my television Netflix 'watch it now' movies playing on my computer. The Netflix online viewer does not work on non-Intel macs like my powerbook.

I'd read a few reviews about this toy and the Fisher Price Power Touch toy (which is for older kids) and had just about decided to buy the Fisher Price one because of all the bad reviews this one had received here, when I saw this toy in a store. It didn't seem all that bad and, most importantly for me, it had a volume control button (my 9-month old daughter is easily frightened by loud noises).

I must say that I have to agree with all those people who said that this toy is GREAT! Firstly, I think people need to remember that the toy is for 6 to 36-month old babies / toddlers. So I believe the whole intention is for you to play the toy with your child and not leave them to try and figure out the instructions themselves or even push the pad themselves. Of course once they get closer to 3 years of age, they may be able to do it - all the better for them. Secondly, I don't think this is intended to replace reading of regular books to your child. On the other hand, not all parents have a natural knack for making story-reading a fun experience (e.g. making different voices or sounds, singing etc.) and so for those parents, this could be a God-send.

In fact, I would recommend that this toy be bought sooner rather than later (i.e. when the child is closer to 6 months old than 36 months old). This is so that you can begin playing this toy with your child before they reach their active stage. By the time they do reach that stage, they will have learnt that for this particular toy, they are required to sit still. (I regret that I did not get this toy for my daughter much earlier.)

The toy is good for various reasons :

- it's durable - although my daughter will sit with me to play this toy, she has also climbed all over it (and has in that way managed to activate the sounds), crushed, yanked and drooled on the pages of the books and they still manage to flatten out some how on their own;

- there's volume control (important for keeping everyone else sane and for not frightening a timid child) and the sound quality is actually quite good. I have definitely heard worse at higher prices;

- there are good tips given on how to encourage your child - e.g. the "Guess How Much I Love You" book suggests that you ask your child to point out the butterfly that appears on every page. It took my daughter less than two minutes to learn this game. She points it out to me and I press the butterfly for her and the Touch Pad rewards her with a tune. She loves this and gets really pleased with herself. I have done this with the "GO" button too and she is also getting the hang of it. Having done this with the Touch Pad, she now points out recurring objects in regular books (sometimes without being asked)even without a tune as a reward;

- there are lots of things to press / do on each page. I cannot understand how anyone can be confused as to when to turn the page! There is no need to do all the activities on a page before you turn it. That's the beauty of such a toy - every time you and your child come back to it, you get to discover something new or rediscover something you enjoyed last time!

- it reinforces other things the child learns elsewhere - for example, my daughter learnt to wave and say "bye bye" by 7 and a half months and generally we have little doubt that she knows what it means. But I was amazed when the first time I turned the Touch Pad off, it said "bye bye" and she replied in kind and waved to it. She does this each time and she knows that it means it's time to move on to another activity.

With regards to the problems other people have had :

- my daughter also took great interest in the on/off button (she touched it but didn't press it). However, after a couple of times of telling her not to do that, she has stopped doing it.

I completely agree with Melanie Gamble from Oklahoma and also the "Toy Enthusiast" from PA who said that parents should give their kids a chance and not set an example of "giving up" when things are a little tough.

The only complaint I have is that the Leap Frog website does not sell online to customers outside the US, which means I will have to hunt down the other books and cartridges I want for my daughter. (In case anyone wonders, Amazon doesn't sell / ship these "toys" to this part of the world either.)

When I first tried the LittleTouch I was mesmerized with the stories and songs. So was my lttle girl. The animation is so original and the music is easy to remember. I love the positive spin the child hears when an error is made and there is every encouragement given to try and try to do better. The size is good for little hands and easy to use for a little one. This is a great introduction to music, and the best way for a child to grow up learning to love learning. It is easy to keep their interest because of the movement and the color and the sound competing for attention in such a fun filled way. I love Leap Frog and just know I'm doing to best for my children when I see them using the Leap Pad and now the LittleTouch LeapPad on their own. Thanks for making toys that challenge children's minds and let then enjoy doing so.

I really like the leap pad products for my children. However, this one needs allot of work. The pages are really flimsy and is difficult to operate. My 18 month old toddler wanted just to push the on/off button. They need to make several adjusments to this item. It was hard even for me to push the touch system. I am hoping that they will change this item around to be more user friendly to the specified age group. It is a great
idea but poorly made. The touch is nice and should be more sensitive or have less pages, or something to the fact that they don't have to pound on the pad to get a response. I know leap pad can do better. We took this item back to the store ASAP! The pillow in the back is a nice idea.

I gave this only 4 stars because the "leather" is a matte finish and would seem like it stains easily. Would recommend a sealer if you have kids. They are a little top heavy because of the pedastal base, but just gorgeous stools. I bought 3 and they came in two boxes. Super easy to put together. For cosmetics these are fabulous. I would totally recommend these bar stools & would buy them again.

Our old kitchen stools we well worn and starting to be an embarrassment. We were reluctant to get rid of them because they were so comfortable. Shopping for replacements was more difficult than we expected. Most were ugly, clunky, junk or very expensive. We saw these and they were just the style we were looking for. Our only concern was that they were so inexpensive we were worried about the quality. We did not need to be. We bought two and they came quickly in one big box. Assembly only took a couple of minutes and was very easy. They work wonderfully are very comfortable and sturdy. Even my 6'4" son fits and does not over compress the pneumatic suspension. One hint when assembling. Be careful not to get the light oil from the Pneumatic shaft on your hands or it will stain the seat during assembly. The shaft is covered once assembled. Hint Simple green works wonders.

I've had these for a few months and the outside of the (leather?) has snagged several times. This seems to happen when the bar stools get spun around into the bar. They looked nice for a few weeks, but we will probably need to replace them sometime.

The picture of the first aid kit that unrolls with the gear neatly oragnized inside is NOT what you get. You get a clear plastic bag with everything stuffed in it. Had i known that this did not come in a handy organizing case i would not have bought this particular kit. It says it came with a pvc pouch (8x12) and a waterproof nylon pouch (7 by 10) but i only have the 7x10. Otherwise, its a decent kit. But without the organization of the pouch it didnt come with, its a big hassle to get whatever you are trying to find.

it is also missing the 35 foot nylon cord. it has the 12' and the thread. the compass i came with is useless.the whistle will get you by, but buy a better one.

Not a bad kit for the money. Fishing gear in an emergency kit always makes me laugh. Your first priority is protection from hypothermia/exposure either by clothing, shelter or fire. Second is rescue, being found, extraction, etc. I don't think you'll do much fishing while trying to keep warm at night, and while extracting yourself or being found the next day, as is what happens in most all emergency survival situations. Fishing gear belongs in an extended stay kit or on a planned fishing trip. I know we all think about crash landing in a remote part of the world and needing to eat something after a few weeks so we better have a fish hook just in case we are near a great fishing lake and the fish are biting... not likely. I'll take a compass over a fish hook any day! Make a fish trap instead - fish swim in and they can't swim out. While the trap does its work you can prepare firewood or signal for help. Most people couldn't catch a fish with the best pole and gear anyway, never mind just a hook and some line. PLEASE Help Me Spread The Message... NO FISH HOOKS! The life you save may be your own... learn to make a fish trap. Okay, I've done my part. Good luck!

I could say a lot of nice things about the beauty of design here, the quality of the workmanship and so forth, but the bottom line here is that you either love Fiestaware or you don't. The yellow glaze is beautiful, buttery, sunny. It makes you smile just by being so wonderful and yellow. But the cobalt is deep and mysterious, and the other colors are grand in their own ways. This juicer is built very well, and uses very good material in it's manufacture. It's value ends there! In order to squeeze the orange, you have to try to balance the flat surface of an inverted orange half on the top of rounded cone, then pull the handle down to press the juice out. This is very, very difficult. The orange tips to one side or another, and if you attempt to press, the bulk of the orange, being off to one side, causes the descending part of the press to be forced off to one side and missing most of the orange and interfering with the downward path of the unit. If you finally get the orange to balance in the center, (by holding it in place with your fingers, exposing the fingers to injury as the top descends),and press the top part down to it's maximum pressure, it only extracts juice from the middle of the fruit, leaving unsqueezed orange all around the rim of the fruit. I was getting hardly 2/3 of the volume of juice from the Metrokane L that I get on an electric juicer. I commend Amazon for their liberal return policy, and will definitely continue to do business with Amazon!

The unit is cheaply made, and literally bows out ward when used. It is very attractive, and does a good job squeezing a lemon, and would be fine in a home bar setting. I use them commercially however, and this thing is slow, has the stainless cup which MUST be used, and the rolling action of the handle is really slow. I don't think it would hold up very long under constant use. My bad however, for purchasing it without trying first. For home use ... great ... for commercial use ... don't waste your money.

I juice a lot of oranges on a regular basis. I have tried manual reamers and electric juicers. I was excited to use one which could apply a lot of pressure quickly and with less effort. The only problem, and it is a big one, is that the juicer leaves a large portion of the flesh unsqueezed. When I use an electric juicer/reamer, there is very little flesh left. With this juicer, the top does not come down far enough onto the removable cup cap to squeeze the whole orange. As a result, you will waste about 25% of the juice. This problem is so obvious that I can take the juiced halves and squeeze more juice out with my bare hand. I will be seeking a refund. I am very disappointed. I can't believe this product is on the market with such poor performance.

I picked this stand because it matches the touch of red Samsung series LCD. If you can't hang your tv on a wall this is a great alternative and gives a similar effect. The stand was easy to assemble and though the hanging doesn't look as sturdy as I would have imagined, it seems to be very stable.

The stand also comes with built in cable management and makes hiding the cables from your components very easy,

Overall I highly recommend the stand, especially if you are matching it to a later model Samsung LCD television.

I recently received this table and put it together with almost no problem. The one issue I have with it was that the metal pieces that are used to hide the cables came bent in several spots. I don't think it was due to the shipping because it was packaged pretty well but just due to poor craftsmanship. I was able to bend the pieces back into shape but doing this degrades the metal even further. I only took off one star for this because it was just the cable management brackets and not the table itself.

Also, the price is a bit steep for such a simple design but I do find that it accents the Samsung Touch of Color televisions well. I have noticed that it looks a bit unsteady but it hasn't given me any problems yet so I guess it's just due to what only appears to be a lack of reinforcement to the back of the table. Overall I think I made a good choice on the purchase and would recommend it to others, so as long as they're not too picky with the simplicity of the product.

Be careful when purchasing this product. I bought it to go along with the Samsung LN52B750 Touch of Color LCD. I was concerned that this was Red TOC and the new tvs are Grey TOC. However, my call to Bello confirmed that they were not introducing a grey version anytime soon. But this is not my complaint. My complaint is that it does not appear to be designed for the 2009 models of Samsung. In the paperwork, it mentions ten different configurations for the tv set up. My samsung did not match. The issue is that the screw holes on the back of the tv for the brackets are 16" apart in both width and height. The width works fine for the bracket but the height does not match the 12" design of the stand. There is no way to adjust the height of the screws on the stand that the tv brackets are supposed to rest on. So either, you are only using one bracket on the tv connected to the stand which does not seem ideal or you have to come up with a clever way to tweak it. I chose the latter and basically set the top bracket in place, set two vertical brackets outside the top screws but angled in to screw into the lower set of screws. The lower horizontal bracket was then attached to the vertical brackets (not the tv) and placed 12" below the top bracket so that I have two brackets resting on the stand. It was a pain to figure out and then align everything.

The solution I came up with seems to work fine. And the tv looks great on the stand with space on the top shelf for a center channel and side speakers. So I really have no complaint with the stand itself other than the initial configuration and lack of instructions to match the Samsung configuration. I will be placing a call into Bello to find out their solution.

I come from a family that lives in the kitchen. As a wedding gift - over 20 years - I received a full set of Chicago knives. I thought they were the cat's meow - and for a while that was true - but Chicago just doesn't hold it's blade.

I bought my first Wusthof about two years ago and have been adding to my set ever since. The Wusthof always has a sharp edge that I can depend upon not to tear my food, rather, always put a nice artful cut to my food.

Now, after reading all the "Chef's message bulletin boards" I think I made a great choice. With this addition of the Chef's 8" my set is complete: Chef Cook's 6", 8"; Carving 8"; Sandwich; Serrated Bread 8"; Boner 8"; Serrated Utility 5"; Sandwich 6"; and three 3.5" paring knives. I bought three of the 3.5" parer because when there is more than one cook in the kitchen, that one knive becomes a coveted utility.

I hate to think of how many years I used cheap knives -- about a year ago I needed to replace some kitchen tools and this set is the HEART of my kitchen, WORTH EVERY PENNY! When I opened the box I was impressed at the weight and balance of the chef's knife. It's a work of art. I realized all at once that I'd never even HELD a real knife before. Saying that these tools are a pleasure to use is an understatement! There is a day and night difference between these knives and the cheap knives you've probably got in your knife drawer. Life is short. Use good tools. This is an excellent set at a great price! You will never regret having upgraded to these knives!

I own about 40 of these jars, been using them for over 2 years and have learn that I can't find a better freezer jar than this one. They have screw on lid and bottoms of jars sit down on top of another jar lid and more or less lock in place which keeps them from falling over. Read where people having problems with jar breaking of cracking. First about the only way to break them would be from a severe fall or no using common sense not to over load the jars. When you put something in a jar like this and they freeze, they need a little expansion room inside the jar. If figure that is why they are cracking. Pesonally I have never had one break or crack. They are mad by Ball the same company that makes canning jars so they have to be pretty good. But they are even better than that, they are great. Also made in 2 other sizes.

I have a set. When I first bought it, 1 of the lids already had a crack on the top of it. Got it exchanged.

First time I used it, poured stock (room-temperature) into it, up to the mark on the jar, then put it in the freezer. Checked the jars after a week, there was a crack in the top.

Although I love that it can stack, I find the grooves on the underside of the lid a bit hard to clean. I do not think the grooves need to be that deep for mating the lids together.

Nice, but not good enough.

These freezer jars have a very nice design - I love the concept of the screw on lid, etc. Unfortunately, all of the lids on mine are developing cracks in the center. Of course, now they are useless. What a waste of money!

We Love it, it is very compact and easy to clean up I have cooked our Turkey in this and the Juices stay put..no clean up..one problem is that you can't use the juices for the dressing..but I can live with it (just boil your Giblets) use the juice from it save some for the Gravy. I prefer the Juice's being in the Turkey still..You can not go wrong with this simply set it and forget it..I tie the Turkey on and rub on squeezy butter, salt and pepper..and for 14 mins per pound..take's 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on size..and it's done. Didn't like doing Bratwerst Sausage's on here way too messy..but a pork loin turned out wounderful and still juicy..also I did Salmon hint: be sure to put it in tightly as it will shrink some. Wonderful product..I brought 2 more for gifts this Christmas one for a friend and one for the my Father-in-law..who just Love's it too..I paid $79.99 and free shipping for this product super deal since now it's $116.99..

Our old Ronco finally broke down after 7 years of service. When I was shopping around for a new replace I came upon this slightly small rotisserie and more stylish in stainless steel. The picture does not do it justices, it looks much better in person than on the web. I love this thing and use it to cook all of my main courses: chicken, steaks, fish, etc. Plus with it being just a little smaller than the original Ronco, it is much easier to storage and clean. Also, I could past the great deal for only $70 with free shipping, WOW!

I did some research online and figured I'd give this rotisserie a try. I love it. I just tried it today for lunch. I followed the very simple instructions and my chicken came out perfect; juicy, moist, tender with the perfect golden glow. Since this was my first try, I wanted to see what it would taste like if I didn't use any spices or butter. It tasted like chicken you would get at a 5 star dinner. No salt or anything, nothing was added and it was great! The meat pulled right off of the bone. If you have a loved one that's not so great in the kitchen yet you like a great meal, get them this as a gift just because you love them and or your stomach.

I found it easy to clean after it cooled down just a little but I wouldn't wait to clean it after setting around for awhile as I can see how it could harden and be much harder to clean the grease. Because it was still warm, all I had to do was use a warm, wet cloth to wipe away the grease from the clear door and sides. I used foil inside the drip try which got tossed out with gease and all.
